Self Introduction

I am an MOE Vietnamese scholar. I have been in Singapore for more than 8 years and hence can communicate effectively in English and conversational Chinese. I'm going to graduate with a Bachelor degree in Architecture in June 2016 and will be furthering my Master's Degree in 2016-2017.
I have considerably plenty of experience with tutoring. I used to be a volunteered tutor at Woodland Tuition Centre during my JC years. I tutored a Primary 6 boy in Math and my student achieved an A for Math in his PSLE. I am currently tutoring a Secondary 3 boy in St. Francis Methodist School in Maths and English and he has shown tremendous progress. Prior to 'A' Level exam, I was given a task to tutor my peers in JC in Maths and General Paper.
My teaching methods focus a lot on highlighting key ideas and skills practicing. I also use effective visual learning methods such as tree diagrams, progress diagrams, speed reading and colour coding. When giving assignment, I like to highlight the skills that are highly relevant to exams. At the end of each chapter, I usually instruct the student to do a summary of the chapter and use it for practice instead of school notes. By writing their own notes, they are able to remember better and refer faster during practice time.I also constantly give exercise from previous chapters so that students do not forget what they have learned.
