Self Introduction
I believe that what students and parents want in a tutor is someone who knows what he's doing. Furthermore, he should be able to empathise with the student and see the problems he's facing.

Here's how I think I fit the bill.

I'm fortunate enough to have opportunities others didn't, which allowed me to gain uncommon insights and exposure. I started off with the Gifted Education Programme in Tao Nan at primary four, and continued with the Integrated Programme at Dunman High. During my time in secondary school and JC, I participated actively in humanities and language competitions. For instance, I was the Best Delegate at the United Nations Association of Singapore Model United Nations in 2014. I also read widely to stay on top of changes in curriculum and am in contact with friends who are currently teaching. This allows me to utilise the best teaching strategies and provide needed content for the student.

I can also say that unlike some tutors here, I was not always a good student. I did badly in secondary school before I got the wake-up call and understood the importance of academics - I then went on to do fairly well in the 'A' level examinations. Because of this circumstance, I'm confident that I can understand and see problems from the student's perspective while providing motivation. I'm also open to discussing and helping my students with school/academic strategy and planning.
