Self Introduction |
I have been coaching Mathematics for about 1.5 years. I would keep myself constantly updated in terms of any change in syllabus, presentation of answers and also question trend.
I believe in having a strong foundation of the concepts and hence I would make sure my students are able to master the concepts before proceeding to answer higher-thinking order questions. To ensure my students are catching up with my class, mini-quiz/assessment are given to check whether students are understanding the concepts well.
In addition, problem-solving techniques are taught to allow students to apply the techniques in their examinations. Concepts are also often broken down for easier understanding. I hope to be able to inspire the student to have the passion for the subject that I have taught.
Notes will be given for students for the type of problem-solving techniques so as to allow students to be able to revise before their examinations. Also, to prepare for their examinations, time-practice of other school papers will be given for students to get exposed to various kinds of Mathematics question being tested in other schools.
As for Science, concepts are first being taught and then before breaking down to practice questions. Students will be taught techniques to answer open-ended questions through practice and also an interpretation of questions. Command words are also being taught to allow students to be aware of the answers required from students in open-ended questions.
As for Economics, lesson notes will be given out to students so that students get the condensed and concise notes for each chapter. Essay practices and case studies practices are given weekly so that students get more hands-on practice of the types of questions being asked in the examination. Question banks come from other school prelim papers and test paper. Students will be given time to brainstorm ideas for the question before discussing. Proper economic and diagrammatic analysis are being taught to allow students to apply the necessary techniques needed for the exam.
