Self Introduction

My name is Kevin. I am currently informally tutoring my secondary 3 brother, on subjects like Math, English and Sciences.

As a student, I always had a passion for Math. To me, Math the most logical, and I admired the way that taking math made students think, improving their logical deductions and thinking processes. To me, I would prefer to teach Math, compared to the other subjects. I would love to impart this skills of logical deduction to my future tutees.

For English, I am pretty much interested in Argumentative and Expository writing. I would say that writing such essays improves one's logical thinking, and prepares the student for further studies in either JCs or other tertiary institutions. It also forces the student to broaden his perspective, to read up beyond academic requirements. I am confident of teaching comprehension as well. Pardon me but I would prefer not to teach descriptive writing.

Sciences, on the other hand, are a lot about memorizing and applying the concepts. Taking Physics and Chemistry in JC really helped to reinforce the concepts taught in secondary school science, hence I believe that I would be able to help my future tutees in areas of physics and chemistry. However, biology is something that hardly interest me and something that I have not touched since secondary 2.
