Self Introduction

I have 7 years of tuition experience ever since my undergraduate days from 2006 to date. My major in NTU is in Biological Science. I have taught subjects such as primary Mathematics and Science, lower secondary Mathematics, Science and Geography and upper secondary A Mathematics, Mathematics D, Biology and Geography. I am familiar with latest primary and secondary MOE syllabus in Mathematics, Science and Geography. I have produced results in all the subjects I taught and my strength is especially so in Mathematics. Below are highlights of some results I had achieved together with my students.

I taught a student A Mathematics starting in beginning of secondary 4 and helped him pulled up his grades from D7 in his secondary 3 prelim exams to A1 in his secondary 4 N-levels. I continued to teach him to achieve A1 in his O-levels the following year.

I also taught a student who was originally very unconfident of her Mathematics till she started to take pride in doing Mathematics. I started from primary 6 PSLE and helped her passed her PSLE Mathematics from fail grade. I continued to teach her Mathematics from secondary 1 to secondary 4 and she achieved A1 for both her Mathematics D and A Mathematics in O-levels.

I had a normal technical student and I taught her from secondary 3 to secondary 4 in both Mathematics and Science. She originally had challenges even performing the basic calculations and passing her Mathematics and Science exams. After her time with me, she was able to pass both her Mathematics and Science in N-levels.

I took up a student after she failed her Geography in secondary 1 and started teaching her Geography from secondary 2 all the way to O-levels and she achieved an A1 in O-levels.

All my tutees had seen significant improvements in their grades and majority of them scoring an A in their final PSLE, N-levels or O-levels results. I achieve this through an interactive and motivating teaching style. I always believe that every student can do well, and it is all about finding their hot button. I work not only on their text book knowledge but also work on their inner mindset and attitudes towards the subject. In this way their interest in the subject increased and they start to have more self motivation and with that more confidence.

I also give constant feedback to parents about the progress of their child and had always worked well with parents. Parents are always very satisfied with my style and performance and I am well liked by them.

"It is not so very important for a person to learn facts. For that he does not really need a college. He can learn them from books. The value of an education is a liberal arts college is not learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks." - Albert Einstein
