We have made some improvements over the home tutor listing page.
We have added an ”Experience” column because some parents are looking for tutors who have at least some years of experience in tutoring.
We have removed the “Gender” column and used colours on the tutor’s name to indicate his/her gender. Blue represents male while red represents female. We just want to save some space and also keep the table neat.
We have added a camera icon besides the tutor’s name if he/she has uploaded a personal photo. This will be interesting to most people who are surfing the list.
We have added “with photo” to the filter criteria so that parents/students can search for only tutors who have uploaded their photos. We do not think looks matter a lot but we cannot deny its importance. A picture speaks a thousand words and it is definitely useful. You do not have to be a handsome or pretty tutor, but at least your student should feel comfortable with your looks. It does not matter if you look too young or mature because different parents/students have different requirements. After all, if the parents feel comfortable with your photo, the chance of you being fired after a few lessons will be lesser.
Lastly, we have also added “last login” and “last modified” details to each individual tutor’s profile so that parents/students can know how active the tutors are and when is the content last updated.
We hope all these improvements can make the pages more readable, informative and easier to navigate. There are many more improvements to be made and we will continue to do our best. Be sure to check back on our tuition agency website for more updates.

The number of approved home tutors in our tuition agency has reached over 4,000.
The ratio of tuition assignments to home tutors is very low in the market. What our tuition agency has been doing is to try to filter good and sincere home tutors. We want to recommend the best tutors to the students. All our coordinators work with clear self-conscience to recommend most suitable home tutors to parents/students.
The number of tuition assignments daily updates subscribers has also reached over 600 since two weeks ago.
We would like to remind all subscribers that by subscribing to the updates, it does not mean that you are registered with our tuition agency. The updates are available to the public simply by entering an email address. It does not even ask for your name when you sign up for it. We maintain a standard in our services as to help both students and tutors find their best matches, and we expect more details from the tutors.

We have added “Chicklets” to the bottom of our tuition agency website’s pages. This is just one of the countless number of minor improvements on the website we have been planning for since months ago.
What are these “Chicklets”?
They are just some shortcuts to share the individual pages through the social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, and email.
Our website contains many useful information and tools that are created with great effort by our team. Some of the useful tools are the Calendars, Tuition Time Sheet and Timetable. They are absolutely free.
These are some of the things that visitors may like to share with their friends. We spend time and effort to create them and we really hope they are able to benefit more people.
We are hoping to create more useful stuffs for everyone soon. We are racing against time because our manpower is really tight and there are many nice things we want to accomplish.
If you have any suggestion, do let us know! Meanwhile, check back to get more surprises!

We have upgraded our tuition agency‘s server to a Singapore’s server yesterday and updated the Name Server. The previous server is based in Canada and thus it will affect the loading speed for people visiting the pages in Singapore. The webhost is quite disappointing given the number of downtime and poor customer service.
After pointing our domain name to the new server’s address, it will take some time for all Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as Starhub, M1 and SingNet to update their DNS records. Most visitors will therefore experience viewing our site on the previous webhost before the DNS records are updated.
To prevent users, including our staffs, from updating the contents at different locations, which would cause problems, we had disabled login, registration and request for tutors on the old site yesterday.
By now, most of the ISPs in Singapore should have finished updating their DNS records and visitors should be led to our new server. We hope there is no error during the transaction. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Lastly, we are excited that our new server serves pages so much faster for users in Singapore!

Our web server was down for over an hour since 12+am today. Our tuition agency website and blog were inaccessible during the period. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Things look sweet now. We are pending reply from our webhost to give us details.
If you have any good Singapore webhost to introduce, kindly contact us.

Due to demands for the module Fine Arts, we have added it into our subject listing for tutors to select.
Fine Arts is a very broad subject and there are actually quite a number of modules to cover. We will be listing it as a whole subject/course itself similar to Computing. We will not be breaking it down to its individual modules such as oil-painting and sketching.
Interested tutors who have registered with us earlier on can log into their profiles to include this subject in their tutoring subject list.
If you have any feedback, do feel free to contact us.

We have finally released some profiles of our tuition agency‘s staffs to our parents, students and tutors who might wish to get to know them better. We hope that through this step, we can gain even more trust from all those we are working with.
If you are interested in viewing them, you may view the profiles at our About Us page.
We will need more time to prepare for the rest of the profiles.
Stay tuned!

We have recently added some tips to increase your chance to secure tuition assignments through us. The tips are currently placed on the login page, right below the login form.
However, do take note that during this period, major exams are either ongoing or have already ended, and thus the number of tuition assignments has fallen greatly. Your chance of getting a tuition assignment is definitely reduced since the demand is much higher than supply.
Do keep trying.
If you have any feedback, do feel free to contact us.
